Dispatch 003 - Time for new projects

November 30th, 2025

Hello there and welcome to the November issue of Limen 👋

I'm writing to you from a bus back from Valencia, where I spent some time with my long-time friend Hector talking about photography and his new passion for it. In particular, about street photography and documentary photography and some of the concepts behind them, it felt like running a 1:1 workshop.

Besides that, this month was a quite strange one, one where I decided to leave my 9-to-5 job as a UX and Design manager and try to get some time to dedicate to myself and photography.

As it might seem an exciting time, I still struggle to digest and adapt to this new situation. Why? Because I did what I’m really good at: fill myself doing things instead of really taking a break and letting some space in me. That’s my comfort zone, just do things head down.

I’m not saying this is a good or bad thing. Sometimes this attitude brought me to great places and let me achieve things I wouldn’t have even imagined. At the same time, I need to recognize when it’s too much and sit down on the meditation cushion, something I’m not doing for a while.

The good thing is that I have two new ongoing projects to show you and a new layout for navigating them online.

Both projects have a background in my inner experience of remote work. I’ve been working remotely for the last 6 years managing teams scattered all over Europe and only in certain situations did I have an office in my city.

The first one is called “Working from home” and explores the tension between the isolation and disconnection of remote work and the sense of freedom it can also provide.

The second one is “Somewhere else” and is a tribute to the three cities I spent most time in: Ancona, Berlin, and Barcelona.

I’ve also started to work on a third project that explores the sum of the random privileges and disadvantages we carry from birth onward. But it’s too early to share more on that since I don’t know how it will evolve.

As I mentioned at the beginning of this newsletter, I submerged myself in doing things and it wasn’t all bad after all. I plan now for a more relaxed December, leaning into the festivities and everything that comes with that.

Let me know what your thoughts are on the projects and on the new layout just by hitting reply to this email.

Till next time!
