Welcome to the first issue of Limen for this 2026.I'm writing to you from a train that just departed from Madrid with Barcelona as its final destination.

Over the weekend I’ve been visiting Madrid with some friends to take part in a street photography marathon. Any reason is good to travel with friends and meet street photographers in other places. The event was fun, the people were lovely, and the organization was great. The people from Todos a la Calle, really did a great job and Gaby and Nacho were wonderful hosts.

About me, it was also nice to go back to Madrid with the camera, I really enjoy the city vibes and the sunlight that strikes through every corner giving you plenty of opportunities to play around. It was also the first time traveling with Vincent, Niko, and Rapha. I think it might be just the first of a long series of trips.

Since I cannot yet share the marathon photos, here are some of my favorites from the rest of the weekend.

And now, let’s address the elephant in the room. Why is this the first dispatch of the year? Isn’t it the first of March?

You are correct.

During January I was overwhelmed by so many things, and I thought that it was better to wait until the end of February instead of sending out a newsletter mid-month.What was going on in January?First, as you read in the previous dispatch, I was traveling around Mexico. I was traveling long distances, photographing a lot, and sending out regular Missives From Mexico. I uploaded all the missives on the website, and you can read them here. Not sure how long I will keep these missives open to the public, so enjoy them as long as they are there.

Second, I finished the first version of the Streetwise App, the app I was telling you about. I’m waiting for the App Store to review it and will then start with a soft launch. You can discover more on the app’s website.

Lastly, I was back in Barcelona on February 6 and needed to catch up with some people and take care of some administrative stuff.But now I’m here, back to the monthly schedule and happy to hear from you. How did the year start?
