Half-Day Street Photography Workshop in Barcelona
A focused session in Barcelona — private 1-on-1 or a small group — for photographers who want to stop relying on luck and start building stronger street photographs.
What this is
Most street photography workshops are either photowalks or portfolio reviews. This one is different. In a single half-day in Barcelona we work, hands on, on how to actually build a photograph: how to read the street, approach a scene, use light with intention and bring some structure to the chaos in front of you.
You can take it as a private 1-on-1, designed entirely around you, or as a small group. We will not impose a style — we will work on what you are already looking for and help you move forward with more intention.
How it works
- Before we meet: you send me a selection of your work. I review it to understand your level, your visual tendencies and what is holding you back, so our time together is built around exactly what you need.
- Short theory: a focused conversation on the ideas we will put into practice — composition, light and shadow, layering and how to frame within the frame.
- Real practice: we head out into the streets of Barcelona and shoot, with me beside you giving live feedback as scenes unfold — so you leave understanding what is working and why.
What you will work on
- Light & shadow: using hard light, deep shadows, silhouettes and illuminated subjects within the same frame.
- Layering: building photographs with foreground, midground and background without turning the image into chaos.
- Subframing: using architecture, windows, doors and shadows to guide the viewer's eye.
- Approach: getting closer, waiting better and composing with more intention.
Who it is for
Photographers who already go out and shoot, but feel their best images still depend too much on luck — and who want more intention, complexity and direction in their work. Whether private or in a small group, the workshop adapts to every level, from confident beginners to experienced photographers looking to sharpen their eye.

- Private (1-on-1): the most personalised option — the entire session is built around your work, your pace and your goals.
- Small group: share the experience with a few like-minded photographers at a lower price per person, while still getting plenty of individual feedback.
Practical details
- Where: Barcelona — we meet in the city and shoot on location.
- Format: private 1-on-1 or small group.
- What to bring: any camera you are comfortable with, from a phone to a full setup.
Duration & cost
The one-to-one session lasts 4 hours and costs €90, with flexible dates arranged to suit you. To confirm your booking, a deposit of €50 must be paid in advance; the remaining €40 is due before the day of the workshop. Payment can be made via Wise, Bizum or bank transfer.
Lunch, snacks and any other expenses are not included.
